Acceptable Use Policy

1. Prohibited product categories
The following can never be listed for sale on Rudia, regardless of any local licence a merchant may hold, because Rudia cannot verify that licence at the scale this platform runs at:
- alcohol
- tobacco/vape
- pharmaceuticals
- firearms
- live animals
This is enforced at store-category selection, by product moderation, and by admin takedown when a listing slips through.
2. Prohibited conduct
- Misrepresenting what a product is, where it comes from, or whether it is in stock.
- Using a buyer’s contact details for anything other than fulfilling their own order.
- Attempting to route a Rudia buyer to pay outside Rudia to avoid commission.
- Interfering with, reverse-engineering, or attempting to defraud Rudia’s payment systems.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension.
3. Reporting
Anyone — buyer, merchant or member of the public — can report a listing or a store from the product or store page, or by contacting support. Reports are reviewed by our team; action can include takedown of a listing, suspension of a store, or referral to the appropriate authority.
4. Consequences
A violation can result in a product being taken down, a store being suspended or closed, and — for fraud or illegal activity — a report to the relevant authorities. See the Merchant Agreement for how suspension interacts with money already in flight.
